The Earables concept is the first idea to come out of the street research. The thought is that the threshold for using a SelfCity wearable will be much lower if it fits within a familiar archetype, but still functions as a beautiful identity statement
Big shiny earrings is one of the most common accessories I observed in the street research. An Earable is a wearable incorporated into a big shiny earring.
The Earables are made from a silver coated alloy. The touch sensor has a thin surface layer of brushed aluminium. The hollow shell features all the electronic components necessary in one of the interaction concepts we are currently developing.
