Invitation production line / wood cut
The goal is to make approx. 50 wooden invites (12 x 9 cm) using the laser cutter.
The invitations have a rasterized picture on the front, text at the back, and a little stand. To have the invitation rest on the stand, we burned a shape 2 mm into the wood. Settings for this were speed 19 and power 95.

After that we had the laser cutter ingrave the text. When the whole back was done, we flipped the piece of wood to start with the front image. Flipping was also done in the Illustrator file.
The contrast of the image has some slight differences, because the wood is a bit warped. This makes that the focus of the laser isn't always correct.

After all the images were done, we used a vector line to cut out the J and K, and afterwards the whole shape of the invitation. Then we cut out the stands and hoorah! We're done.

Thank you FabLab!
