Waag Society Fablab Amsterdam

During my three months at FabLab Amsterdam I will research on the possibilities that fabbing, desktop manufacturing and FabLabs offer for innovation in Communication Design.

In particular I'll focus on the following aspects:

• new possibilities for printing (2D,engraving, 3D)
• metadesign for communication design ( design of purpose-made tools for movie design, print, animation )
• the emergence of a new design culture ( in a world where every object and space becomes able to communicate communication meets other field of design)
  
• the role of Communication Design in the FabLab ecosystem.
