Designing a sensory system to detect goals in table soccer
The fabfoosbal table aims to be a fully automatic table soccer table, featuring automatic score detection and an interactive scoreboard. To realize this, we have to design sensors to detect and process game events
Connecting the different modules is an essential part of the concept, because this “handeling” is responsible for the actual ‘programming’ of the modules. Therefore the modules must have connectors which are easy to connect to each other and sturdy enough to be plugged and unplugged multiple times.

Another contribution I gave to the FabFoos project is the electronic score counter, called MichelangeLED.
While building the table we faced the challenge to create a nice score display system. I suggested to use LEDs instead of a physical counter because of the innovative nature of the project.
At first we wanted to put the diodes on the surface of the wood, but I wasn't happy about that idea. So I thought about hiding the LEDs inside the wood without sacrificing the light. The idea was to mill cylinders in the wood leaving only a thin layer of material on the top.
This project shows how easy is to create tools for Communication Design using Fabbing techniques and OpenSource Hardware.
During my stay at Fab Lab Amsterdam I thought it would be nice to have a tool for shooting video of 3D object. Often a static picture is not enough to document a complex project.

Jeero is a simple rotating plate powered by a cheapo servo motor controlled by an Arduino microcontroller.
I will make the design of the Arduino starterskit modular. This means, making separate modules (boxes) for each different sensor, or actuator (light, sound, movement). It will make it easier to understand the function of each module, and it's easier to add new modules for new sensors.

This Project will document the work in progress for designing an Arduino starters kit. Arduino is a micro-controller that is able to provide prototypes with simple (and advanced) interaction.
To let people easily learn how to work with the Arduino micro-controller I will design and create a starters kit.
For the software connection there are three important programming components: the libraries
Hello Everybody, this will be my final project for the Fablab, because I am finishing my internship next week.
In a previous project I used a EEG headset to control a small robot.
This was fun, it was very exciting, but the robot was ugly. In fact, it was very functional, but boring.
Therefore I will transform this robot into a small car.
This car will be, as suggested by the fablab manager Alex Schaub, a toek toek!
