The Compostable Collection

During my internship at Fablab Amsterdam of Waag Futurelab I have made a phygital collection that can compost between 2 months and 2 years and supports activists from Extinction Rebellion protesting against the fossil fuel industry. The clothes support different needs that Extinction Rebellion activists have, such as freedom of movement, protectiveness, power, communicative needs, etc. The material design and usage shows that the fashion industry can change, and that it MUST change. It needs to stop investing in synthetics derived from the fossil fuel industry and start investing in sustainable alternatives, such as algae, wool, hemp and linnen.
